A customer of mine finds that one of the db's on her Notes workspace changes for no apparent reason. For example, the left navigation inside the db changes. (The native Notes navigation tree inevitably appears rather than a customized navigation with an outline.)
It's not apparent why this occurs, but it can be resolved by re-adding the db to the workspace. Soon afterwards, the same navigation issue within the db re-occurs.
I don't know whether this is related or not, but in looking into this, it became apparent that my customer does not have a desktop8.ndk file. I'm pretty sure that she does not have 'roaming' enabled. I'm assuming that her bookmarks.nsf is therefore defining her workspace.
I expected that without having 'roaming' enabled, a new desktop8.ndk file would be created automatically. As this hasn't occurred, could I simply copy my desktop8.ndk to my customer's pc and assume that the desktop8.ndk will automatically be updated to reflect the icons on her workspace? (We're both running Notes 8.5.1.)
I'd appreciate any ideas on this. Thanks.
